Q1. When and where is Merton Pride 2026?
Merton Pride will take place on Saturday 5th September 2026 at Morden Hall Park and Merton Abbey Mills. Please see the schedule for more details about the venues and timings. You’re welcome to drop in and out, or spend the whole day with us!
Q2. How much does it cost?
Nothing at all. Merton Pride is completely free and open to everyone. If you’d like to help us keep it that way, you’re very welcome to make a donation or get involved as a partner.
Q3. Who is Merton Pride for?
Everyone. Merton Pride is for all LGBTQ+ community members, allies, families, and anyone who shares our vision for a more inclusive Merton.
Q4. Can I bring my family and children?
Absolutely. Merton Pride is a family-friendly day out, with plenty to enjoy for all ages, from the community fair to live performances.
Q5. Is it safe to attend?
We have been working for several months with the venue owners, Merton Council and the Police, to keep everyone safe and ensure that effective security measures are in place and all staff have the right training.
We encourage everyone planning to attend Merton Pride to enjoy the celebrations, look out for one another, and report any concerns. If something doesn’t feel right, speak to one of our volunteers or a member of security staff. In an emergency, always dial 999.
We look forward to Merton Pride being a celebration of the diversity, joy and unity of our community.
Q6. Do I need a ticket?
No ticket is needed. However, we have to limit the number of march participants for safety reasons. You can register on the day at the Merton Plus stall at Morden Hall Park until we reach the maximum number. Everyone else will be welcome to cheer from one of our spectator areas, and to walk over to Merton Abbey Mills after the parade has left.
Q7. Can I take part in the March?
Yes! Everyone is welcome to join in. As mentioned above, we will have to manage numbers. If you’d like to join the parade as an organised group, please let us know via the registration form (ticking the box ‘My organisation would like to get involved’) at least two weeks before the event and we’ll get back to you. Only pre-registered groups will be allowed to use corporate branding.
Q8. Is the event accessible?
We’re committed to making Merton Pride welcoming for everyone. Please see our Accessibility page for detailed information, and do get in touch if you have specific needs we can help with.
Q9. How do I get there?
Full travel details are on our Travel page. Please note the event is happening across two venues, so make sure to look at the timings for each venue.
Q10. Can I have a stall?
We’re now at capacity for stalls. However, if you’d like to be considered for a stall in the future, please let us know via the registration form (ticking the box ‘My organisation would like to get involved’) or via our contact form.
Q11. Can I volunteer?
Yes, we’re always looking for more volunteers, both for Merton Pride and other activities year-round. It’s a great way to make a difference in your community. Please fill in the registration form and we’ll get back to you.
Q12. Will there be food and drinks?
Yes. Both Morden Hall Park and Merton Abbey Mills have a range of food and drink options. Depending on the weather, we recommend you bring a refillable water bottle with you.
Q13. Who organises Merton Pride?
Merton Pride is organised by Merton Plus, the volunteer-led LGBTQ+ charity for Merton. You can read more about us on our “Who Organises Merton Pride?” page.
Q14. How can I stay up to date?
