Community Allies
Our Community Allies are charities, local organisations and small businesses who do their part in making Merton a more inclusive borough. Their participation puts Merton Pride at the heart of our communities.
Confirmed community allies:
We are a community of volunteers supporting people facing severe financial hardship across South West London.
Through our local networks, we provide essential items such as food, technology, and furniture to those in need – working alongside schools, councils, charities and other partners to make sure help gets to where it’s needed most.
We are Alzheimer’s Society Merton. Memories of our journeys as LGBTQ+ people make us who we are today.
Losing those memories or being taken back in time by dementia can be incredibly challenging for LGBTQ+ people and their support networks.
Alzheimer’s Society is here for anyone affected by dementia. We have LGBTQ+ specific support and guidance available on our website or our local Merton team (merton@alzheimers.org.uk) are here to help. Dementia doesn’t discriminate, neither do we.
The London Stags RFC was established in 2019 with the primary goal of providing members of the LGBTQ+ community the opportunity to play Rugby Union and Touch.
This includes a focus on developing teams to ensure that all members of the LGBTQ+ community can benefit from what rugby has to offer.
The aim of the Stags is to represent the inclusivity of rugby and demonstrate the value of every player and supporter of the sport, regardless of their sexuality, gender identity or ability, through our training sessions, fixtures and socials.
LGBT HERO is the national health and wellbeing charity for LGBTQ+ people supporting over 100,000 people a month.
We deliver inclusive, accessible sexual health and wellbeing services across London. Our work is led by people with lived experience and designed alongside the communities we serve.
Whether you’re looking for personal support or professional insight, our approach is grounded in respect and real‑world understanding.
We are an inclusive children’s theatre in Wimbledon where children can explore their creativity, share their ideas and connect with their families, peers, and the world around them.
Merton Fostering is dedicated to building an inclusive fostering community where every child and young person feels safe, respected, and valued, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
We warmly welcome carers from LGBT+ communities and champion equality, diversity, and acceptance through inclusive policies, training, and ongoing support for both carers and the children in their care.
As part of ATG Entertainment, we are proud to champion LGBTQ+ inclusion through ATG’s Pride Network, which supports visibility, equality and safe spaces for colleagues, audiences and local communities.
We celebrate Pride each year across the company, from attending London Pride to supporting local events such as Merton Pride with New Wimbledon Theatre, and we are committed to creating welcoming spaces for everyone – including community events alongside productions such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show, where local LGBTQ+ groups were invited to our dedicated ‘safe space’ to connect, celebrate and feel represented.
Sustainable Merton is Merton’s award-winning environmental charity, empowering local people to take positive action for a greener, healthier future for everyone. We do this through borough-wide community-led initiatives like our Community Fridge, Repair Cafes, sewing workshops, and community gardening.
We are proudly committed to LGBTQ+ inclusion and creating welcoming spaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to belong — because building a better future for our planet, our shared home, takes all of us, and our community is stronger when every voice, story, and identity is welcomed and celebrated.
